Participants are invited to arrive before the session begins. A light welcome refreshment, including coffee, tea and biscuits, will be provided by the event.

In this SAP CodeJam, we will look at SAP Integration Suite and different AI features that we can leverage to integrate our systems and help improve our integration development activities. We will receive customer request events from a customer website, process them in SAP Cloud Integration with the help of an LLM hosted in SAP AI Core. Then, that information will be sent to the Customer service request system. Once we complete the integration flow we will get familiar with the new MCP Gateway available in API Management. We will expose an existing MCP server via the Gateway and we will create an MCP server for an existing API. To wrap things up, we will configure our new MCP server as tools available to an LLM and interact with them from a chat interface.

The venue, Forte de Gaia – Autograph Collection, has an on-site restaurant. Alternatively, participants can enjoy a variety of restaurants just a short walk away along the Vila Nova de Gaia riverside, offering beautiful views over the Douro River.

The afternoon session continues the hands-on activities started in the morning, allowing participants to further develop their solutions and deepen their practical experience with AI-enabled integrations in SAP Integration Suite.

In this session, we will explore how cloud sovereignty is transforming architecture and business decisions across the SAP ecosystem. Beyond ensuring where data is stored, digital sovereignty involves control over data, operations, technology and the legal framework.

Starting from the key regulatory and strategic challenges in Europe, we will examine the SAP Sovereign Cloud approach, the different implementation options — from hyperscalers and SAP Cloud Infrastructure to on-site models and regional sovereign clouds — and their relationship with SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, SAP BTP and Business AI.

The session will also include recent, publicly available examples from European organisations, demonstrating how regulated sectors and mission-critical operations are seeking to balance cloud and AI innovation with security, resilience, compliance and digital sovereignty.

The aim is to provide a practical overview that is accessible to both technical and business audiences, while raising some key questions that organisations should consider when defining their future SAP cloud strategy.

At SAP Sapphire 2026, SAP announced its vision for the Autonomous Enterprise: a future where people set direction and AI executes, with governance, business context and human judgment built in at every step. SAP positioned this around Joule, SAP Autonomous Suite and the SAP Business AI Platform, bringing together agents, data, process knowledge and enterprise controls.

This session will explore how far that vision has progressed since Sapphire and what it means in practical terms for SAP customers, partners and practitioners. We will look beyond the announcement headlines to examine what can already be done today with SAP Business AI, Joule, agents, and SAP Business AI Platform — and where the roadmap is heading next.

Through practical examples and demonstrations, the session will show how autonomous capabilities can start to reshape everyday enterprise work: from intelligent assistance and process automation to agent-driven execution across finance, supply chain, procurement, HR, customer experience and industry processes.

Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the Autonomous Enterprise concept, the building blocks SAP is putting in place, the opportunities available now, and the exciting possibilities ahead as SAP moves from AI-assisted business processes toward truly autonomous operations.

This session shares lessons from applying AI within a large global SAP S/4HANA transformation. We’ll explore how AI was used to analyze mapping rules, reconcile data across construction, preload and postload stages, identify data-quality and load defects, perform root-cause analysis, and begin automating repeatable migration workflows. Real examples will show where AI delivered measurable value, where it struggled, and why experienced SAP and business judgment remain essential. Attendees will leave with practical ideas they can apply to their own SAP transformation programs.

The concept of Autonomous Asset Management combines AI, knowledge graphs and end-to-end automation to orchestrate the entire asset lifecycle — from acquisition to decommissioning — balancing downtime, labour and spare parts costs to recommend the lowest-cost maintenance plan.

In practice, AI agents analyse historical data to identify likely causes and generate pre-filled maintenance work orders, based on successful solutions from previous cases.

A practical tour of SAP Business Data Cloud: what it covers today, how recent acquisitions and connectors fit into the architecture, and what this means for the work we do. We’ll also explore where BDC fits within the newly announced SAP Business AI Platform and what this means for what you build today.

Then we’ll put the platform to an unusual test. Using a hand-built dataset covering a decade of SAP product naming history, we’ll model time-to-rename and make a genuine prediction about which product might be next. The methodology is real. The confidence interval is not reassuring.
